down on the farm

One sunny fall day, not too long ago, I took a trip out into the county and visited my cousin’s wife and her ever-growing flock of animals. You see, I wasn’t going there to snap shots of my cousin, his wife and their sweet girl… I was there to shoot the animals. WITH MY CAMERA! Jeesh.

Jaime, the brain-child behind Our Little Flock, asked if I would lend a hand with some images for a calendar she was designing in order to raise funds for the Multi-Organ Transplant Unit of London Health Sciences Centre in London, Ontario.  I don’t know if I laughed harder trying to snap shots of the alpacas or the goats who kept thinking the button on my jeans were part of their daily diet. I do know my laugh was somewhat high-pitched when I leaned a little too close to the electric fence. “Oh shoot, sorry Holly, the fence is ON“. Ha ha ha. Allll good! The mark on my arm only lasted for a day. :)

If you’re looking to add another stocking stuffer or two to your gift list, click HERE and check out the Calendars for sale with Our Little Flock. It isn’t your typical Cat or Dog calendar which is great! Isn’t it time we stepped outside of the fuzzy box? Happy Shopping!
